Sometimes, actors portray characters that remain vivid in the minds of the masses for a long time; but the ones, who actually played the roles often don’t realize the depth of their characters.
Something similar happened with Malcolm McDowell, when he portrayed a prominent character in a film titled ‘A Clockwork Orange’; the enlightenment about the powerful role came many years later.
Recently the actor stated that he missed some crucial points of the film, and noticed the same only when he attended a screening 10 years ago.
The film was made in 1971, but it took Malcolm many years to realize the power it carried.
In his statement, The Mentalist actor reflected that the work of Stanley Kubrick (director) spoke for itself, and when he caught the hidden glory of the film, he was left awestruck.
This film didn’t see the dim lights of a theatre in U.K. because of the gory content it carried.
Though the theme revolving around rape, murder, and torture would not give you goose bumps in the present world, it did sent shivers in people’s hearts back then.
The actor also stated that shivers ran in his body while filming some of the scenes in the film. And when he was asked to do a shot which left him with bruises once again, he was frightened!
Now, I am sure that by now you must have got the idea of the scene we are talking about.
Well Malcolm, it was great of you to finally get enlightened, but to tell you the truth, I am a man with a tender heart.
I can’t watch gruesome acts. So I would stick to going through The Mentalist online, because that way, I would witness your wonderful performance without puking and ruining my couch. (I can’t stand the sight of blood.)
(I am sure you would not mind.)

Well, I didn’t come across him in person, but I saw some of his pictures and he looked very similar to Simon.
At present, it is the cast of The Mentalist that is laughing their way to the bank!
And Malcolm McDowell surely falls amongst those few.
The guy we’re talking about here is Owain Yeoman, who’s famous for his role as Agent Wayne Rigsby on The Mentalist. Owain was one among the honorees at the BAFTA ‘Brits to Watch’ event, which was graced by the presence of the future King and Queen of England, as well as several other celebrities.
